Marilyn Y. Dellert
September 20, 1935 – October 7, 2020
Marilyn Y. Dellert, 85, of Springfield died Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home. She was born September 20, 1935 in Springfield to Albert and Eleanor (Kutscher) Baker. She married Donald D. Dellert, Sr. on October 16, 1955.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; three children, Donald (Sarah) Dellert, Jr. of Springfield, Diana (Larry) Kluckman of Lake Ozark, MO and David (Mary) Dellert of Sherman; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Chloe) Kluckman, Lauren (Andrew) Meneghetti, Nick Dellert, Zack Dellert, Jack Dietl and Kate Dietl; five great grandchildren, Joshua, Thomas, Elia, Dominic and Jayme; one brother, Richard (Brenda) Baker of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn graduated from Springfield High School in 1953. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Grateful Daughters Circle of the King’s Daughters Organization, as well as the Springfield Women’s Club. She was a former member of the Lake Press Club and Elks Club.
Marilyn enjoyed playing cards, golf and riding with her husband on their motorcycle. She enjoyed their motorhome, where they traveled across the country, most frequently to Ft. Myers, Florida. She was a sports enthusiast, always enjoying a good baseball game. She especially loved cheering for her grandchildren at their games.
Marilyn was co-owner of Dellert’s Paints, with 25 years of service.
Visitation: 2 – 5 pm Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A second visitation will be held from 10-11 am Monday, October 12, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Monday, October 12, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Greg Busboom and Pastor Pam Mitcham officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. John’s Lutheran Church.
CDC Protocol shall be followed, allowing 50 people in attendance for the funeral service.
