RICHARD GIANNINI OBITUARY
Richard A. Giannini, 86, entered eternal life December 7, 2022, after a battle with cancer.
He was born February 8, 1936, in Chicago and is survived by Shirley Giannini, the loving parents of Rick (Nancy), Anthony (Sharon), Marianne (the late Abe) Millman, & Vince (Norma). Cherished grandfather of Kate (Doug) Grove, Lauren (Bryon) Rue, Cristina (Brendan) Farrell, Marisa (Steve) Manassa, Jacqui, Nathan, Anthony, Nick, Joe, Nicole, Ryan, Michelle, & Matt. Great-grandfather of Dominic, Marco, Gabriella, Brooklyn, Madison, Francesca, & Michael. Son of the late Clemente & Mary, dear brother of Anthony (the late Lena) Giannini, the late Dr. Joseph Giannini (the late Delores), and the late Rosemary (the late James) Schwieger. Companion, Sharon Roberts. Fond uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Proud papa of his sweet dog, Charlie.
Richard had many accomplishments and positions throughout his life-Secretary of State Police Investigator, FOP Lodge #95 President, Real Estate Sales, Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO), Addressograph Sales, Encyclopedia Britannica Sales, Custom Home Builder, Restaurateur, Graphic Communications International Union (GCIU): Chicago #7 Newspaper Journeyman Pressman.
Visitation begins Friday, December 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 236 US-45, Indian Creek, IL. A funeral mass will follow promptly at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Willow Lawn Memorial Park, 24090 N. US-45, Vernon Hills, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home (Boys Town), or the charity of your choice.
