GENESEO-Wayne E. Misfeldt, 92, of Geneseo, passed away on January 28, 2023, at Allure of Geneseo. A memorial service for Wayne will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. Stephen Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10-11AM prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at a later date at North Cemetery-Geneseo. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in his name to Concordia Lutheran Church. Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory-Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Wayne was born April 27, 1930 in Erie, IL, the son of Louis and Hazel (Clark) Misfeldt. He graduated from Atkinson High School in 1948. Wayne proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict for 2 years. He married Lois Klavon on September 11, 1955 and she survives. Wayne was a Geneseo Police officer for 6 years, a working co-owner of White Rose Dairy for 6 years and was a Secretary of State Police investigator for over 20 years before retiring. In retirement he drove for Pinks Bus Service for 19 years. Wayne was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he served as deacon, financial secretary and youth counselor. He was also a member of the American Legion and Illinois Police Association. Wayne enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Machine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lois Misfeldt, sons; Ron, Steve, Kevin, Tim (Julie) and Todd Misfeldt, grandsons; Michael and Tyler Misfeldt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Hazel Misfeldt and brothers; Lee, Harvey, Pete, Les and Fredrick Misfeldt.
